How timed lyric video generation works
Automatic transcription can save the blank-page work, but it cannot know every name, slur, harmony, or intentional pronunciation in your record. DeadMod treats generated lyrics as editable material. Read them. Correct them. Listen again.
The editor lets you change the words and their timing instead of baking a rough transcript into the video. That control is the difference between text that follows the song and text that merely appears near it.

Word
Show the current lyric as a clean unit. This keeps the screen focused and works well for slower songs or stark typography.
Karaoke
Highlight the active word as the vocal moves through the line. Use it when precise participation and timing are the point.
Chunk
Group phrases into readable pieces. Chunk mode suits quick lines where one word at a time would feel frantic.
The best mode follows the phrasing. It does not need to show off the software.

Art direction
Style lyrics for clear reading
Choose type, size, case, color, outline, glow, and placement to fit the record. Then test the busiest frame. A treatment that looks elegant over a quiet intro can disappear when the background brightens or the visualizer peaks.
Use cover art as a full background or centered object, build a gradient, or choose a saved motion background. Add a waveform or restrained pulse when the frame needs a second source of life. Custom text and a logo can establish artist identity without turning the video into an ad.

What AI handles and what you should edit
DeadMod can request a timed transcript through the configured transcription provider. That process sends audio transiently to the provider. The raw MP3, artwork, draft state, and final rendered video otherwise stay in browser storage rather than being stored as media in DeadMod's database.
After transcription, review proper nouns, contractions, breaths, repeated words, and the entrance of every chorus. If a phrase is hard to understand in the mix, write what belongs in the published lyric, not what an automated system guessed.

Shrink the preview. If the lyric becomes a texture instead of language, simplify the background or strengthen the type.

Export lyric videos for horizontal, vertical, and square formats
A full-song lyric video asks for consistency. The type has to survive every verse, bridge, and repeated chorus without becoming tiring. A short vertical cut can be bolder because it only needs to carry one idea for a few seconds. Decide which piece you are making before you tune font size and line breaks.
For horizontal video, use the width to create calm space around the lyric. In vertical video, fewer words per line usually read better because the screen is narrow and the viewer may be holding it at arm's length. Square favors centered art and compact lyric groups, but it can feel crowded when long lines are left untouched.
Keep the same lyric timing when you create format variants, then adjust only the visual composition. Re-editing the words separately for every frame invites small errors and makes later corrections harder to track.
MP4 or WebM
Use MP4 when the browser supports H.264 and AAC. Use the WebM fallback when it does not, then check the destination accepts that format.
SRT
Download subtitle timing when you need captions for another publishing workflow or want a simple text-based timing record.
Timed JSON
Keep detailed timing data when you expect to return to the edit or reuse the lyric structure in another DeadMod project.
