Make a karaoke-style lyric video

Karaoke presentation keeps a lyric line visible while the current word receives a distinct treatment. The viewer can see where the phrase is going and where the singer is now. That is more useful for participation than replacing the entire line word by word.

Timing has to feel musical. Consonants, pickups, held notes, and repeated words can all make a mechanically even highlight feel late or nervous. DeadMod lets you correct the material instead of treating the first generated pass as finished.

An original mix works for a lyric video that invites singing along with the artist. An instrumental gives the audience more room and is closer to a traditional karaoke track. DeadMod does not create that instrumental for you.

Use only audio you own or have permission to publish. Vocal removal, stem separation, and licensing are separate problems from lyric timing and video design.

Active and inactive words need a clear relationship. A color change, stronger weight, or controlled glow can be enough. If the highlight changes size dramatically, the line may jump as each word activates and become harder to follow.

Keep the lyric area stable and give it contrast against every part of the background. Image, gradient, and saved motion backgrounds all work, but motion should remain behind the reading task. A low visualizer can support the audio without passing through the words.

Sing or speak along with the finished preview. The moments that make you wait or catch up are the moments to adjust. Then watch the same section silently to check that the visual progression still makes sense.

Export only after the final chorus has been reviewed. Repeated sections often contain small timing or wording differences, and those are easy to miss when the first chorus looked right.

Ask one other person to follow a verse before release. Fresh eyes catch assumptions the editor has learned to overlook.
