DeadMod Studio
Turn an MP3 into an MP4 music video
DeadMod converts audio to video by pairing your MP3 with artwork, motion, an audio visualizer, or timed lyrics. The result is a music video you can publish, not a blank screen wrapped around an audio track.
Build it in your browser and export MP4 when your browser supports the required video encoders. DeadMod offers WebM when it does not.

What the converter does
How an MP3 becomes an MP4 video
An MP3 contains sound, while an MP4 video needs a visual track. DeadMod creates that track from the frame you design. Your artwork can fill the screen, sit in the center, or share the composition with a visualizer and lyrics.
This matters because the visual is what people see on YouTube, social feeds, projectors, and any platform that expects video. A plain conversion solves the file format. A considered frame makes the file worth watching.
Add artwork, lyrics, or an audio visualizer
Static art with clean type
Use the cover as the background, add the artist and song title, and let the record carry the piece.
Audio-reactive motion
Add a waveform, spectrum, radial visualizer, or pulse so the frame responds to the music.
Timed lyrics
Generate or add lyrics, correct the timing, and use Word, Karaoke, or Chunk presentation for a complete lyric video.
Saved motion backgrounds
Use a motion preset behind the artwork when a still image feels too flat, then reduce the movement until the song stays in control.
The workflow
How to convert MP3 audio to video in three steps
- 01
Choose an MP3
Load the finished song from your device. DeadMod uses that file as the soundtrack and the exact duration of the video.
- 02
Give the audio a frame
Add cover art, a background, titles, timed lyrics, or an audio-reactive graphic. Keep it simple or build a fuller release visual.
- 03
Render and download
Export the composition in the browser. Compatible browsers produce MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio. Others can use WebM.

Browser support
MP4 browser support and WebM fallback
DeadMod checks what your browser can encode before it starts the full render. Where H.264 video and AAC audio are available, the exporter creates an MP4. If that path is unavailable, the Studio can fall back to WebM instead of pretending every browser has the same media support.
For the smoothest export, use a current browser, close memory-heavy tabs, and keep the device awake during rendering. The video is rendered locally, so duration, resolution, effects, and the speed of your device all affect render time.
Quality
Balance video quality, file size, and render time
Pick the destination first
Use 1920 by 1080 for a standard YouTube frame, 1080 by 1920 for vertical video, or 1080 square for a square release post.
Avoid motion with no job
More movement creates more visual complexity and can make compression work harder. One clean reactive element is often enough.
Check every edge
Titles and cover art that feel comfortably placed on desktop can sit too close to the edge on mobile feeds.
Keep the source MP3
The export creates a new video file. It does not replace or edit your original audio file.
Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can DeadMod convert audio to MP4?
Yes, when the browser supports the required H.264 and AAC encoders. When it does not, DeadMod provides a WebM fallback.
Does the MP4 have to include lyrics?
No. You can make a simple cover-art video, an audio visualizer, a motion background piece, or a timed lyric video.
What audio files can I upload?
The current Studio workflow accepts MP3 files. Other audio formats are not promised on this page.
Is the conversion done online?
The editor runs in the browser and renders the finished video locally. Raw media stays in browser storage unless you explicitly request transcription.
Will converting the file change my song?
No. DeadMod uses the MP3 as the soundtrack for a new video file and leaves the original file untouched.
