Platform rules
LANDR AI music limits: 20 or 60 tracks per month
LANDR accepts some AI music, but plan limits and store restrictions apply. Here is what those rules mean for your release schedule.
The facts
- Who
- Artists who send AI-generated tracks through LANDR.
- What
- Monthly track limits, disclosure rules, and limits on delivery destinations.
- Where
- LANDR's distribution service. These are not blanket rules for every upload to each platform.
- When
- The help page shows a September 29 update. This report checked it on October 7.
- Why
- LANDR reviews the rights and eligibility of AI releases before delivery.
- How
- The monthly allowance depends on the account plan. Some destinations do not accept these deliveries through LANDR.
LANDR's current help page lists two monthly limits for AI-generated tracks: 20 or 60, depending on the plan. An older summary that says 30 tracks is not a sound basis for a release schedule.
The current LANDR policy also limits where it sends these tracks. Acceptance by the distributor does not mean delivery to every store.
Which LANDR plans allow 20 or 60 AI tracks?
| Tracks per account, per calendar month | Plans listed by LANDR |
|---|---|
| 20 | Distribution ALC, Basic, Mobile, Studio Mobile, Studio Essentials |
| 60 | Distribution Pro, Distribution + Mastering, Studio Standard, Studio Pro |
LANDR excludes AI covers from this acceptance policy. It asks artists to disclose AI use and can ask for evidence of rights.
Where can LANDR distribute AI-generated music?
The policy lists YouTube Content ID, Meta, TikTok, Deezer, Lissen, Pandora, and Tencent as restricted destinations for these deliveries.
YouTube Content ID is not the same as all YouTube uploads. A LANDR delivery restriction does not establish a universal ban on a platform.
Impact on users
Our analysis: A monthly cap changes the release calendar. An artist with 24 eligible tracks cannot assume a 20-track plan will clear the whole batch that month. A higher plan also does not remove the destination restrictions.
There is a money question here. An upgrade only adds value if the extra allowance solves your actual problem. It does not fix missing rights or make an excluded store available.
The distinction matters for video releases too. Distribution, rights matching, and a video you upload yourself are different steps. A successful audio delivery does not complete all three.
What counts as AI music?
LANDR's broader guide discusses several uses of AI, from music generation to help with production. The service also reserves the right to review fully generated music case by case.
The reviewed pages do not settle every mixed workflow. They do not support the claim that any use of AI mastering automatically consumes the same quota.
If that distinction affects your release, ask LANDR about your exact process. Describe which parts you wrote, performed, generated, or edited. Save the reply with your release records.
What to do before release day
Check the current plan allowance before you pay for an upgrade. Check the delivery destinations before you announce a release. Keep the source files and the licenses for any material you use.
The practical risk is a missed release date. A policy summary from last month can be wrong today. This report records the policy checked on October 7, 2026.
